While on ebay looking at lenses I came a cross this -

This bloke is selling his Nikon 70 - 300mm lens becasue he is sick of changing lenses,so he purchased a Nikon 18 - 300mm lens or as he called it an all rounder.

I like this idea having two lenses in one although a little more expensive.

What do you think, your valued opinions please

He called it an "all rounder"? I wonder, was he gritting his teeth at the time? :D
Disclaimer: I do not know how many version of this FL lens Nikon make, so get its
full nomenclature. I can only ID a single species, even though it has two variants
on the name:
AF-S DX NIKKOR 18–300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR and Nikon 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G DX ED VR

But in the following links they look the same :confused013

The BIG Q is with all, but particularly long range zooms: will you get decent (enough) performance everywhere?
