Hi All,

I will be driving the Great Alpine Road next weekend.

So far we are thinking of the following locations:

Mount Buffalo Lookout
Danny's Lookout
Hotham Heights

Are there any locations worth stopping by at? We will be staying at Harrrietville.

Got a 4WD? If going to Hotham one of the most scenic track in the country is just down the road - Blue Rag Range.

Thanks Toddyh,

No 4WD for this trip. Just driving in a hatchback.

So we'll need to stick to the main road.

If you fancy finding a quiet section of river near Bright there is a little dirt road that lead through the pine plantation to the river. From there you can walk along the river in either direction.

I was having a look at Ladies Bath Falls. Is it hard to get to?

I'm just trying to find out where the closest place we can park the car and then walk there.

G'day Phil, Ladies Baths is a beautiful little waterfall well worth a look and very photogenic, there is parking on the side of the road at the start of the track, the falls are only a short walk from there. you will cross over Eurobin Creek about 100 meters before the Ladies baths parking and there is parking there as well, a very scenic creek with plenty of rock and foliage. Heading up there myself soon, can't wait. When you go to Bright call into the Tourist info they are pretty helpful in there.

Mt buffalo is on of my favourite places. I've explored alot of the vic high country if that means anything?

'The horn' is a fantastic spot for a sunrise.

Since you posted this shakes, do you think you could try and organise an AP members meat up that way? Just start a new thread suggesting some ideas. Maybe a weekend camp or ..... whatever.
Reckon you might get some interest.:th3:
