Thinking of purchasing the Tamron 70-200mm F2.8 DI VC USD, I would be very interested with owners practical experience with this lens as regards sharpness, colour reproduction, quality etc, I have the Nikon cropped sensored D7100, thank you for your thoughts, cheers.

Not to put you off the Tamron, and I cannot comment cause I have not used it. But I have the Sigma version and it is a great lens. So if the Tammy is equally as good, and web reviews suggest it could be, then go for it.

I have the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 and it's used on a D7100 - love it. As a hobbyist I couldn't justify the cost of the Nikon so went with the Tamron. Very sharp, good colour, the VC works well.

My Tamron is my go-to lens for the weddings I have shot, it's great for portraiture (or landscapes) well, most things really - great versatile lens, it's not as quick to focus as the other (more expensive ones) and wanders a little in low light - but it is sharp and creates great DOF and bokeh.
