Hi all, I want to set up my sb700 more towards the front and on the side at about 2 o'clock ( height wise) Im going to make a DIY diffuser for it too for my macro work, mainly insects. I was looking at an L shaped bracket but don't think it will get me close enough to the front. So Im thinking of a C shaped bracket and it allows me to move the bracket towards the front and also move the flash from 12 - 3 o'clock position wise.
will this work do you think? Any recommendations on brand.
Any other ideas? Im trying to keep it simple and light as possible.
Cheers
Glenn

Glenn, if you want to go down the DIY route with the flash bracket as well I have seen a home made bracket made with a small amount of aluminium strip, an ordinary inexpensive flash "cold shoe" and the main ingredient for the bendable re positionable arm is a fantastic product called loc line.
It is flexible yet sturdy and will hold the weight of a flash with no problems.

Have a look at ----
