A project I would like to do. Need help in how to get started.

I maybe don't want to use 15000 pins, but the idea is there.

I have a picture and have reduced the size down to "SMALL!" size but it still has too many colours.

I tried to reduce the colour depth to 4 colours but that made a mess of the picture with the dithering and that stuff.

I have seen it done with LEGO as well at a show I went to recently.

Anyone every done it and could help me work out how to get it working?

Do you have photoshop?

Try filters > filter gallery ...I combined Fresco and Patchwork to mess around with this image. Not great but 5 mins of mess around. Is that the sort of thing you meant? It might get you on the right track. :)

Mr Felix. Call me blunt, but what's the point of all of it?
I read your post, but what is the point you are trying to make? It is apparently not with pins.
Yes, you mentioned [colour depth] but... with what aim?
And, if you do not have a working version of Photoshop, do you have anything like it?

So, I am saying that it would help if you could clearly state your aim and intention instead of referring obliquely to a
(IMO) vague video that shows a person with too much time to waste and hoping someone can divine what you may mean
by looking at that video. (I am still kicking myself for wasting the time.)
