Weight would be my concern I would go with 24-70 it gives you a great range and you can use a circular polarising filter, on the 14-24 you can't it you are talking snow there will be glare.

Kind Regards

Having taken a wide(10 - 22), a 24 - 70 and a 70-200,( on a crop frame body) on holiday i would most definitely go a 50mm prime and the 70 - 200 for weight alone. I hardly used the 24-70.

Just for something different... I just got back from overseas, I opted not to take my 70-200 and I'm glad with my choice, it's a lot of weight to lug around, but I knolw they are a very popular choice!

I would take the 24-70 (i used a 17-50 on my crop body), and perhaps the wide.

Cheers

Jus got back last week apprently used alot of the wide but maybe once of the 70-200mm taking tigers in a zoo n didnt use the 50mm that i took,it very troublesome to take the lens off when u have 2 layer of gloves on n -25 degree just too cold to do anything.I could have just bring the 24-70mm,next time will.Lesson learned. Happy Snapping...
