I'm looking for a bit of tripod advice.
I'm looking at upgrading from my current light weight travel tripod. It's a Benro A250F which does a great job due to it's small size and light weight.
But I'd like to get a tripod were size and weight isn't a problem, and it would be 10x stronger, better in windy conditions which we get on the Sunshine Coast.
I found this one at *removed: under 50 posts on AP*..Manfrotto 290 (MK294A3 + 804RC2) Tripod Kit
It sells for $180, which seems fairly responable.

Your thoughs and possible alternatives would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...:):)

Got it (both). Love them. Well sturdy enough for a mid priced kit and very solid feeling.

I have the 804RC2 and got tired of having to tighten up three knobs.

Also, when walking through the bush, they seem to snag on everything.

I switched to a Markins Q10 Ball Head and couldn't be happier.

Interesing....I have a ball head on my Benro and are inpressed wih the speed that you can adjust and or set up a shot.
I was looking the 804RC2 as t would give me another option. Yep it would be slower but that that I'm pesonally working on....slow down, take your time.

Thanks for the comments

I kept my 804RC2 and have it set up with my macro rail on it. Works well there.
